1. How do I change my publishing status?

   • To do this, you will need to access your Creator Dashboard > Select the edit button on the series of your choice > and select ‘Ongoing’, ‘On Hiatus’, or ‘Completed’ depending on your needs. Make sure to click ‘Save series’ to save your publishing status. You will always have the ability to update the publishing status. 

2. Do I have to change my publishing status?

   • You do not have to change your publishing status but we encourage you to update your status to best inform your readers. Please see these best practices: 

Completed Series

• If your series is completed, be sure to take the time to change the publishing status.
  • Binge readers especially love completed series, so you may attract a new kind of reader with this series status!
  • Mark your series as complete if the main story is actually completed and you do not plan to publish further story episodes to the series.

On Hiatus Series

• The ‘On Hiatus’ feature will let your readers know you and your series are on a break. 
  • This feature is especially useful to your core fans, who may check the status of your series repeatedly during your break. 
  • Don't forget to change your status back once you return!
    Your series will then be marked with the “Up” badge to let readers know you’ve returned!

Ongoing Series

• Ongoing series will still be marked with the “UPUp” badge. 
  • This status notifies readers there’s a new episode for them to enjoy! 
  • This is the default status for all series. 

3. When should I change my publishing status to hiatus?

   • We recommend you update your publishing status to ‘On Hiatus’ when you need a break from your series and may miss your usual update days.

4. Will readers be notified when I return from hiatus?

   • Your series will be marked with the “UP” badge to let readers know you’ve returned!

5. What does hiatus mean?

   • A hiatus is either a planned or unscheduled pause in the release of new episodes. During a hiatus, the series is not being updated, but it hasn't been permanently concluded. 

6. Can I still publish updates if my series is marked ‘On Hiatus’ or Completed’

   • Yes, you are free to update no matter your series publishing status.

7. Does my series still appear on the ‘My Tab’ if my series publishing status is ‘On Hiatus’ or ‘Completed’

   • Yes, your series will appear there no matter your series publishing status.

8. If I marked my series ‘Completed’ will I still receive reminder emails?

   • No, once you mark your series ‘Completed’ you will no longer receive reminder emails for that specific series.
